I started week noting 20 weeks ago, thanks in huge part to Neil Williams and having undertaken some training where my take away was to build time in to stop, to take a breath and reflect.
Never did I think I’d be sat here 20 weeks later, at the end of 2024, having week noted for that long. I’m not a natural writer, I’m not a natural at taking time to reflect, however, I’ve found it effective and useful.
With a busy day and a busy brain, I can often forget things are going on. I’m not always the best are seeing the successes, as I race from one thing to the next. Week noting has provided an opportunity to celebrate the wins and to acknowledge what has happened in the week.
I’ve finished work for the holidays, a clear 3 weeks off with my family and I’m excited to down tools, rest and have a different pace to life for a few weeks. Therefore, week notes will be taking a break until the new year, when I look forward to coming back with energy and enthusiasm.
For personal reasons, I’m pleased to see the back of 2024 and ready for a new year to start. I’m not really one for new year’s resolutions but for 2025, I’ll have joy in my heart and look forward to what’s in store.
For now, enjoy the holidays when you get there and thank you so much for reading my ramblings this year, I hope you’ll be back again next year.
Gawd bless ya. Have a good one Emma.
Congratulations for committing to this new habit!
